Phillip McKnight has been studying and sharing the art cranky shadow puppetry for seven years. He studied under influential Baltimore cranky artists and created his own unique style using recycled materials such as newspaper and cardboard. His first cranky was created and performed while thru hiking the Appalachian trail in 2019 in the trail shelters where he always had a captive audience.

Martha Simons is a mixed media artist who was raised by a paint horse and a Border Collie on a farm in Indiana. Her favorite color is tourmaline and her favorite vegetable is Brussels sprouts. She leads tours of the American Visionary Art Museum and spends her time playing ukulele, reading magical realism, crocheting funny hats, loving her three cats and making art every single day.  Martha believes that “Nobody is good at Everything but Everybody is good at Something.”
